Type 1 diabetes is a medical condition which is usually found in children and young adults and diagnosed as such at that point in time. This type of diabetes used to be called juvenile diabetes but it is often exclusively referred to as Type 1 diabetes these days. The main issue for those individuals with Type 1 diabetes is that their body refuses to produce any insulin. This causes many different health problems for the individual who has the lack of insulin in their body.
